Our Vision

Raising a child is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding, journeys a person will go through. Parenthood is full of unknowns, and new parents especially find themselves with more questions than answers. While a simple Google or ChatGPT search or a social media influencers posts can offer you answers, finding trusted information, insights, and recommendations with no strings attached can be challenging and overwhelming. 

Often, friends and family have the most reasonable and time tested answers. Yet tapping into that village’s knowledge base is easily overlooked, especially when busy lives or geographical distances make it challenging to keep up with or know who to reach out to.  

Introducing: Lean On Me, a web application for parents. The app empowers parents to find and share product recommendations by tapping into their existing networks. It’s the advice from familiar voices that carries the most weight, and Lean On Me simplifies the decision making process by delivering timely, trusted recommendations.  

We're looking for developers to help expand our website and build a social community where people can post, share, search, and interact with content (maybe even use GenAI to answer some of their most pressing questions??). 

In the meantime, share your recommendations here, and share our site with your community!

While we're currently only focusing on baby related recommendations, we'll be looking to expand to any recommendations you may share or ask your friends. Check back for updates! 

As we expand, we'll enable the ability for community members to create a private profile where they can share content with only their community and filter for only their community's content. 

Yes! Lean On Me operates on a freemium model and is free for most people to use. More information will be coming as we launch additional features and capabilities.

You! If you've ever wondered what product a friend/acquaintance/family member would use so you knew it was already vetted, and you could worry less about purchasing the wrong thing, wasting time and money, or making a return, this site is for you. We're making it easier than ever to solicit recommendations from your trusted community, and making it faster to find, recall, and save those recommendations (let's stop having to search through a group text thread from months ago for that one link so-and-so shared!).

1. Collaborate: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – African Proverb
2. Be proactive, take ownership: Get the help you need to make progress. Find answers to make decisions. Take ownership, and get it done.
3. Listen to understand, not to respond: We are a community of many different voices. Appreciate and acknowledge that everyone has their own experiences and opinions. Choose what you respond to, and think how you respond to it.
4. Be resourceful: Don’t let not having all the resources or all the answers stop you from making progress.
5. Reflect: What worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. Learn from mistakes, celebrate wins, and move from just experiencing to understanding.
6. Have fun: Life is short, and everything is just a phase. Remember to laugh, smile, relax, and get goofy. 
7. Fill your cup so you can fill others: You’re only as strong and capable of taking care of others or of your work if you’re taken care of yourself. 
8. Keep It Simple: Life is complex. There’s no need to make it even more complicated.
